Tesla has expanded its autonomous ride-hailing service, known as robotaxi, to the cities of Dallas and Houston. The announcement was shared through the company’s official social media channels, along with a short video showing Tesla vehicles operating without drivers in the front seat.
With this move, Tesla’s robotaxi service is now available in three cities, all located in Texas. The company first introduced the service in Austin and later began offering rides without safety drivers in early 2026.
The expansion marks another step in Tesla’s plan to develop fully autonomous transportation systems. The robotaxi service aims to provide driverless rides using advanced artificial intelligence and self-driving technology.
